Considering that Jim was one of the greatest singers who ever lived, look at how little he was paid for a show, even in 1960s dollars! Just $750. Plus out of that meager amount, he kept his Blue Boys on salary and paid road expenses like gas, the operation of his bus, etc. By comparison, today's salaries for stars like Garth Brooks are obscenely disproportionate to their talent.
