James Newberry's Collection
(A few photos of his extensive collection of Reeves memorabilia)

Over the course of more than three decades, James Newberry has quietly amassed what undoubtedly is the most impressive private collection of Jim Reeves memorabilia in the world. He has researched many aspects of Jim's life and career, and left no stone unturned in his quest to acquire and preserve various items (large and small) that pertain to Jim. Mr. Newberry has literally travelled the world, hunted down obscure sources, and sometimes paid enormous sums in his quest to obtain Reeves items, such that his collection has been appraised at in excess of $1 million. Ironically, he has done all this while shunning the limelight and keeping such a low profile that he has been aptly described as the "Howard Hughes of the Reeves set".

The collection consists of a vast amount of video, literally hundreds of autographs and signed personal letters, awards, photographs too numerous to mention, many personal items, band uniforms, and over 8,000 recordings as they were released around the world.
